Wait, and we'll wait some more

Sat Apr 26, 2008, 5:38 PM
I've been accepted to CIA, Pratt, Massrt, and CCAD. Still waiting on RISD and UC. Don't really care about RISD Since I've decided it's not the right choice as far as ID goes. Over the past month I've decided on UC as my top choice, and I've been wait-listed for entrance. They're pretty strict on their admissions especially transfers. They base solely transcript, no portfolio. I'm 1 of 4 kids on the list, so the only hope I have is to have accepted kids decide to go to different schools for ID. I think that's how it works.

If I dont' get into UC I'll most likely be going to CIA. They seem like they have a good balance of technical applicaiton and theory. Pratt and RISD are too much theory, otherwise I think RISD would be top choice other than UC. I really hope to hear from UC soon. They said early may, so now I wait some more.

Done!

Well it's all been sent. 6 college applications. Now time for the waiting game. I've decided that Cincinnati is my top choice, and it is also my lowest chance of getting in... I know their transfer rates are really low. But then again I'm not transfering into a program, but I still think it's a low rate either way. RISD was my last application due, March 15th. Spent 10 days on my drawings. I applied back in October, but didn't finish sending in my app stuff till the deadline, talk about procrastinating.

Higher Education

I really need to figure out which school I want to go to.

Cadidates:
RISD - Well known, but expensive
Pratt - Same
Parsons - a little cheaper, but I'm not sure about their ID program
Cincinnati DAPP - Great co-op, cheap but out-of-state makes it the same as Parsons.

Not really sure, I gotta do some more research and make some visits.

First off, thanks to this guy :icontechniqx: I gots me a month's sub. *bows in appreciation*. I didn't even know you could give someone a month sub... I should look around the site more. Well browsing 120 thumbs at a time is pretty cool. So give this guy a visit for his generosity! :thanks:

On another note, I've been doing a lot of sketching of anime. I guess that's my new thing as of now. I'll post some if i like them. I wish I could stick to one thing, but my mind just wanders. I'm also thinkin about making more Tshirt designs, I only have one store up right now at CafePress. Got my first sale about a week ago, nice! That's about it.
